Orange Venezuelan corydora 3cm
The Orange Venezuelan Corydora (Corydoras duplicareus) is a diminutive armoured catfish prized for its distinctive burnt-orange colouration and reliable behaviour in established community tanks. This species exhibits classic corydorid characteristics: a preference for soft, fine substrates where they forage methodically for detritus, and a requirement for adequate dissolved oxygen and stable water parameters. They are schooling fish that perform optimally in groups of six or more, displaying hierarchical feeding patterns and nocturnal activity peaks. Water conditions should maintain pH 6.0–7.0, temperatures between 22–26°C, and moderate current. Their bottom-feeding habit provides biological filtration benefits, though supplemental sinking pellets ensure adequate nutrition. A well-established tank with minimal disturbance yields the most natural behaviour and longevity.
